Hi everyone! Welcome back to this month's The Guys Behind the Blog. Last month, Nick didn't feel like answering the November questions because they were sports themed, and he's not a big sports junkie. This month is Christmas themed though, and he could not be more excited! Here we go!
Money? Haha. No, let's see... I have a couple movies, such as Man of Steel or Star Trek: Into Darkness. Other than that... I'm focusing more on us going to Disney World, so getting stuff is the opposite of the direction we should be going in, haha.
2. Did you believe in Santa as a child? Do you have any funny Santa stories?
Yes and yes. I very much believed in Santa. As a kid, Santa was an excuse for my parents to get me and my sister a couple more presents, as well as blackmail opportunities. At one point when I still really believed in Santa, but after Pokemon came out, I asked Santa for a real, live Pokemon. I even left a letter next to the fireplace asking "Did you bring a live Pokemon? Check yes or no." That was back in fourth grade, or somewhere around there. At one point I wrote a letter to Santa, and "Santa" wrote a letter back, and I thought it looked suspiciously like my grandmother's handwriting. That was fifth grade at the time... I was the dreamer. All the kids in school made fun of me... that's when my faith in Santa died,
3. What is a Christmas tradition you hope to pass on someday?
To put stuff in my kid's stocking that they can play with before we wake up, or just spend time together as siblings. There's a lot of traditions I'd like to pass on actually... reading of Advent stuff, lots of Christmas music... One of my favorite memories of Christmas was when I was really young, sitting on my mom's lap, on a rocking chair, falling asleep and looking at the Christmas tree and its lights in the dark. I'd love to do that with my kids someday.
4. Do you open presents on Christmas morning or a different time?
We always open our presents Christmas morning.
That's going to change... my family always opens one Christmas Eve and it has to be pajamas!
5. What is your favorite Christmas song? Movie?
I'm not a big fan of Christmas movies. There are some, like Charlie Brown Christmas, but I'm not sure that's even considered a movie. But if I had to choose a Christmas movie, it would be A Christmas Story. For favorite song,... I love Christmas music, There are so many to choose from. I could narrow it down to favorite album? My favorite Christmas album would be Celine Dion's These Are Special Times. There are a ton of great ones on there!
As you can see, we're both biiiiig Christmas fans! I'm so glad I could let him share some of his love for this holiday on the blog. Be looking for his answers to January's questions next month!
